Trying to trace a family member who emigrated to USA.
Name: Robert Ford, enlisted for F1 service '37, born in Leitrim, Drumahaire. Soldier in US army, Florida.
Known to have been in MA, Taunton USA, any help appreciated.

Is he definitely deceased?

Do you have a middle initial or parents' names for him?

Hi thanks for your message, just getting over the Christmas/New Year's rush here.
this is all the information I have on him unfortunately, I know he emigrated to USA and lived in Philladelphia-but then so do many Fords I understand. James Ford married Bridget Carney on 10.12.1860, I think that Robert was a grandson perhaps, or an Uncle. There were seven children in the family; John, Peter, Michael, James, Patrick, Bernard and Hugh.

For privacy reasons, it is against the policy of Roots Chat to post about people who are or may be living.  We use a rough rule of thumb of not posting about people born less than 100 years ago, and it's not clear if this applies to your man or not.  Do you have a date of birth for him?
