Yorkshire Post 1st Jan 1952 ,re CBE, describes Thomas Robinson Ferens born 1903, the son of Mr J.J.T.Ferens who was the adopted son of the late Rt. Hon. T.R.Ferens.

You will have seen that in 1881 the 4 yr old John Johnson TILL was enumerated as a nephew of Thomas Robinson Ferens and his wife Esther Ellen (nee FIELD).

JJT may have been one of the children of Esther's sister Fanny Emily FIELD, who married William TILL in 1873 and was widowed when he died in Barnsley on 21.12.1880.

Fanny appears as a widow in Barnsley in 1881, with children including a baby Esther M under 1 month old.  RG11/4603/18/30.

Thanks for the new information .... and helped me to progress :-)

Hello

This is my family- I know the details. Did you find what you need? Out of interest, why are you researching them?

Best wishes

Rosanna

Hello,

I am researching the Freeman/Hirst/Prince/Cundall Famikly Trees :-)

Christopher J Cundall (1953) married Jill S Prince (1965).
Her parents are Jeffrey J Prince & Irene Mavis Hirst.
Mavis is the sister-in-law of my brother Leslie W Freeman (1937).

I have an expanded family tree on Ancestry.com.

Best regards
Tony Freman
