Marriage of Peter Souter

Hello

I am trying to find the marriage of Peter Souter the son of Robert Souter and Jane Stuart who was born 1881/2 in Aberlour.

He was living with parents in the 1891 census but the most likely entry that I have found for 1901 is a 20 yr old Police Constable living Anderson St. Cambusnethan, Lanark. I haven't pinned him down in the 1911 census.

Similarly I haven't pinned down his death but a possibility is 1955 aged 76 yrs, Keithhall, Aberdeen.

Any help much appreciated.

There are trees on Anc that list him as marrying Farquhar Millar and Scotlands People has a marriage in 1904 of a couple with the same names in Bellshill, Lanark. 

The tree lists them as moving to New Zealand

Many thanks, I will look into that possibility. I thought that if he was a Policeman in Lanarkshire in 1901 there was a possibility that he had married in that county.

Anc does list the burial of a Peter Souter of Portabello age 64 on 1 Mar 1947 at Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand   Cemetery:    Andersons Bay

His spouses name is listed as Farquhar Soutler who died on 20 Mar 1950 age 72.  The burial also mentions a Bella Souter-  their only daughter age 19 - on 24 Aug 1928

I have just got a copy of the marriage from Scotlands People and that confirms he was the son of Robert Souter and Jane Stewart.

I don't suppose the anc. tree mentions Peter's sister, Jane bn 1891 and his brother James bn 1893. I think I have accounted for his other siblings Margaret, Robert and Isabella.

James is listed as marrying Maggie Hay b 1885 Mortlach, Banffshire, with 5 children and there are no more details of Jane beyond her birth

Mrs F Souter age 33 housewife
Robert Souter age 8
William age 6
Isabella Souter age 2

Also traveling is a Margaret Souter age 32 listed as domestic

Another tree does list Jane as marrying a Duncan Anderson on 30 Apr 1909 at Aberlour, Banffshire but haven't checked this against Scotlands People
