A look up for Catherine Davies 1882 please

Hi,

First of all I wish all you all a happy Xmas and a prosporous new year !,

I would be mosr grateful if anyone has any access to any records for information on a Catherine Davies b. 1882 in Llanbedr/ Llangynhafal. In the freebmd site it has the details as Ruthin Dec 1882 11b 289

I am most interested to find out who her mother and father are !

Where have you found her on any Census?

Hi, Catherine is in the 1901 census ,a niece aged 19 at a property in Llandrillo Yn Rhos, Colwyn Bay.
Other members of the family are,

John Davies   50 uncle.
Margaret Davies   47
David Davies   17
Llewelyn Davies   14
Oliver Davies   11
From the family tree her parents presumably either

Robert and Anne Davies
Ellis Thomas Davies and Catherine Davies
Jane Davies
Elinor or Eleanor Davies
John and Maria Curtis.

Hope this helps. As the family were from Llandyrnog/Llangynhafal area there is the possibility of an entry in the Parish Registers ?

Hi, Yes, as far as I am aware she never married.

In the 1911 census she is in Bryn Coch, Llangynhafal living with her sister Catherine and her husband Thomas Ellis and also her adopted neice Nesta Curtis

Given that the John with Margaret in 1901 was the son of a William and Mary Davies,I think that there is a strong possibility that she may have been the daughter of John's sister Catherine born in c 1860.

Yes , that is the way I was thinking. I think the only way to know for sure is to look up the Llangynhafal/Llanbedr Parish Registers or to get a birth certificate. Thank you for your time and help

I can't seem to find the Catherine in 1881 and she only reappears with mother Mary in 1901.There are also to consider Ellenor born c 1858 and "Mariah" born c 1864.John doesn't appear to have any brothers to be her father.

Hi,

Maria married John Curtis and had children with him. Eleanor, I believe married Edwin Mostyn and in the 1911 census was living in Abergele. His profession was a butcher.
