So I would say Sophia was a Widow when she married (if she did) Rowland Gwynne. John/Hannah appear to be her Children and Hannah has her Father as John on Marriage (deceased)
Cant find a John Evans Marriage to a Sophia though abt 1828/1830.

thankyou thats fantastic what you have found,great help and brings things together for me.Were it all started for me is my 2x great grandad william herbert gwynn born about 1861-1863 pontypool,on his marriage cert to mary jane magee 1883 birmingham says father rowland ironworker,i have them on the 1871 census.rowland the father age varies between 1804-1811 on census and died kings norton 1886 i think.i have rwland with wife sophia on 1841, then on other 1851 with wife tabitha cannot find them on 1861 but on 1871 census with wife anni james who he married 1870,rowland on 1881 visiting his step daughter rhoda ede nee wilkins daughter of his third wife anni james hope i have got this right.  the 1861 census with rowland on would help me alot but cannot find it .thankyou again great work

Odd as your ancestor William Herbert Gwynn 1861/63 was born in Pontypool?

i have not located an exact birth, on 1871 census says born 1861 pontypool, 1881 census says born 1861 pontypool, 1891 says born birmingham 1861, 1901 census says born 1861 bilston staffs, 1911 says born 1861 wales    he varies useing his name from herbert to william

Hi again, Herbert in 1871 aged 10 Pontypool, also death Tabitha b 1791 in 1841/51, marriage 1870 Annie Wilkins not James?!
So if Tabitha was too old who was mother of William/Herbert?
