The age on death certificates or burial records isn't always accurate - the person who supplied the information may not have known Richard's true age. 

The baptism in Burwarton matches Richard's age and birthplace on the censuses.  (This is information he supplied himself, so it's more likely to be correct.)

On the 1841 census there is Levy Childs (20) at Shortwood (?), next household Samuel Childs (60) and William (25) at Croft House, next but one household Richard Childs (25) at Greeen Tump.

Levy (30), William (40) and Richard (42) are on adjacent households in 1851.

I'm wondering if my Richard childs is related to the rest In the 1851 census! How do I find that out any ideas!
