James Hogg and Janet Gibson married Stow 1810
« on: Thursday 01 January 15 06:55 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for any information on this couple and their family, James b1811, Christina or Christian b1812,  Thomas b1818 and Flora B 1821. Flora married George Rutherford in 1844 and they came to Australia in 1864 to Rockhampton, Queensland. I am the great great granddaughter of this couple Janet died in 1869 and her father was Thomas Gibson of Windydoors. Christina married John Henderson a farmer at Chesterhill parish of Humbie in 1836. I cant find any thing much about James Hogg except I think his father was also James and James jun may well have been dead by the time Flora married. The family were at Wetherstone in the 1841 census with James listed as 50 years of age. Any Help on this family or the areas they lived and worked in would be wonderful.
Cheers Anne

Thanks for that, Last night I got further information[ that confirms my thought that James's father was also James and it seems that he may have had a sister Janet who married Thomas Taylor .
