I have just had another look at some of this and think this is Edward c 1795 from Yorskhire Census's.

MARY ANN 12 Jan 1797

John married Minerva PERRIN, 10 Nov 1791, St Mary the Virgin, Monmouth, Monmouthshire


A MINERVA Bowyer age 54 (1771) was buried 12 April 1825 Lydney, Gloucestershire

Thanks Trish, it might be a wild goose chase for me but the thrill is in the chase.  it's a fair old hike from Raglan to Whitby.  I wonder what took them there.

I came across this post while researching the Bowyers. My brother in law is the Great Grandson of Elizabeth Augusta Bowyer from Broom House Usk. She was the daughter of Edward Bowyer and Elizabeth Theakston. I am very interested in where your family come into the Tree.

He has photos of Elizabeth, and other members of the family I think.
Any information that you have we would be interested in.

Elizabeth Augusta Bowyer married Joseph Hoyle in York on the 5th December 1854

Her Father was Edward Bowyer and mother Isabella Theakston. Yes his first wife Mary died, I think in childbirth.

Edward's Father was John Bowyer and mother Minerva Perrin.

I am confused about the marriage of Edward to Isabella Theakston,as I have them getting married at St Georges, Southwark, London. Even more confusing is a family marriage notice for Hereford.

No I am not related to the Family.
Yes I see the Marriage was in London but the other notice is from a Newspaper about the Marriage.
You mention Herefordshire maybe just another notice?
