Where can I find the content of these Evesham wills?
« on: Saturday 03 January 15 01:41 GMT (UK) »
Hello, I am wondering where I can find the contents of the wills of William Newe dated Aug 5 1579, proved Worcester 18 Jan 1580 and of James New dated Jan 18 1721 and proved at Worcester Nov 9 1725. Both men from Evesham.
The information I have with those dates is from a copy of a family tree from a book called "English Families of the Name of New."
If anyone has a copy or knows how to get one that would be good. Apparently a Bob New of Evesham has annotated and updated this 19th century book, but the email address I have seen for him on the internet bounced back, so is out of date.
Any help or information is most welcome and appreciated.

I do not think rootschat likes mention of living people, but if you want to make contact with the author, of Evesham, you can find a possible address here, under his possible longer name:
https://www.freeelectoralroll.co.uk
and then find a phone number in the online phone books.

Your best bet is to go to the Hive which contains the record office for Worcestershire & has a great deal of wills on micro film but this May be to far for you to travel so why not put a posting on asking if any member is going to visit the Hive & if so would they be willing to have a look at the wills for you

All the very best

ps I forgot to say that the Hive is in Worcester City

Maybe you should update your profile, so that people will know in which country you live?! ;D ;D
