Just switched on to find some over-night gifts. Many thanks.

Census puzzles still remain about William in 1911, Eliza in 1891 and Annie in 1911. Also I can't find the reference mentioned by rosie17 for Alice in 1911.

With regard to BMD queries. It is still not clear to me whether William, Alice, John or Annie married. This makes tracing the deaths of the females somewhat difficult. Confirmation of the deaths of William, Eliza, Alice, John and Annie would be welcomed.

NannyJ - where did you find the burial reference for Charlotte?

Once again, many thanks for all the help so far.

Rosie17 - when you say "in Hampstead in later census", could you please be more specific, as I can't find a reference to an Alice Archer born c1875 on FindMyPast.

Many thanks

Hi again, have you tried for an Alice A* b Hornchurch or an Alice A* in Registration District Hampstead, that is the way if I am having a problem and possibly knowing where they should be?

Hi

I have now found the 1911 reference for Alice. It looks good, though the age at 32 is a little on the generous side!

I have also found the wedding for John, which may well be correct. Difficult to know without seeing some documentation.

But John's death is still eluding me.

Some progress to report. I have found the marriage and death of John Archer, m Oswestry Q2 1911 and d Cirencester Q1 1862. But the other children remain elusive:

William - still not sure whether he married or when and where he died.

Alice - again still not sure whether she married or when and where she died.

Annie - again still not sure whether she married or when and where she died.

Any further help much appreciated.

I have just received a death certificate for a William Archer, which shows that he died on 13 January 1905 in West Ham Hospital following injuries received in an accident whilst falling under a horse he was leading over Hainault Bridge. He was described as a "coal carman" of 6 Francis Avenue, Ilford. This William was aged 36 when he died in 1905, so presumably born 1869 or so.

The last I heard of the William Archer I am looking for was in the 1901 census, when he was living with his father George Archer in North Street in Hornchurch. He was then described as a farm labourer. My William was born 21 January 1870, so the age above is not too far out.

Not sure how to go about ascertaining whether this is the correct William Archer. All help and advice gratefully received.

I have made considerable progress with the children of George and Mary Anne. I now have the births, marriages and deaths of all the children with two exceptions: the death of William ARCHER and the death of Eliza BISHOP (née ARCHER).

William (born 1870) was last reliably heard of living with his father in Hornchurch in 1901, aged 27. The age on the 1901 census is wrong, his birth certificate clearly stating January 1901. On the 1891 census, there is the word "dumb" in the final column. As far as I know, he never married. There is a possible death listed above for 1905, but I have no way of confirming whether or not this is my William.

Eliza (born 1871) was last heard of in 1939 living at 73 Hornsey Road, Holloway, so aged 68.

I would appreciate any help with finding these two final parts of the Archer jig-saw.
