Thanks Petros.

Most of my ancestors the Sibleys etc came from H.C. and Ridgmont, Aspley Guise.

So Ann - George Fooks, Elizabeth - James Sibley, Richard - Mary Lewis, John - Elizabeth Gurney.

Doesn't help find Sarah though.

quite. And with the local burials on the NBI it suggests she married out of the district

I wonder in the Marriage Banns I have a Sarah Norman to John Turney in 1833.

On the 1841 census John with a wife Sarah aged 30 are in H.C. with 2 small children.

On the 1851 census Sarah is aged 43 with John and children.

Therefore it would seem to be the correct Sarah Norman.

That looks like Sarah. The couple are in Ridgmont in 1851 and she is shown as born Ridgmont age 43
John is living alone, but described as married in 1861 but a widower in 1871
Sarah may have died in 1853

perhaps the marriage was missed out of the register transcription?

It could have been.

William and Samuel are both in Bucks in 1861.

I agree about the burial in Ridgmont in 1853, hopefully someone
would look it up for you as NBI only goes to 1851 for the C of E.
