I think the census shows she is a widow. 

Looks like Ann could have been an Ann Butterworth.   An Ann Butterworth married a John Bibby in June quart.1846 Runcorn.    In Sept.qtr.1851 an Anne Bibby married a William Helsby at Runcorn.   Familysearch shows that father of Anne Bibby was a John Butterworth.

1861 census shows William and Ann together with 2 children.   No sign of Elizabeth Bibby so looks like she was the Elizabeth Bibby aged 8 who was buried All Saints, Runcorn on 2/5/1855.

Thank you so much. I had also come to the conclusion that she was a widow in 51 and was in the process of finding the same facts. John appears to have died in 1848, aged 39, but he was so much older than Ann. However, I think it must be him.
