I am looking for a marriage of a David Williams to a Catharine probably between 1823 and 1830.
David was from Llanbadarn Trefeglwys; Catharine was from Llansantffraedd according to censuses. They lived in Llanon, Llansantffraed.
From their grave inscription at Llansantffraedd, David was born in 1806 and Catharine in 1804 (approx).
The first of their children that is recorded in the censuses was Morgan Williams, christened in Llanon in 1830.
Not all their children (though younger) have been at home at the nights of the censuses and I have hoped to find them with other relatives that might give some clue as to Catharine's original surname - but no clues have come up.
However - Family Search has come up with a possibility:
David Williams
Catharine Evans

No other information is provided. This marriage is a distance from Llanbadarn Tre, but the date would fit quite nicely with Morgan's birth. I believe though that some parish records for Llansantffraed are missing and maybe that includes the couple I am looking for.
But I'd be very interested to hear from anyone who has this marriage in their family tree - if only to eliminate it from my search. Or - if someone has access to the Llanfihangel Genau'r Glynn parish records, whether there is any further information in the original. Or any ideas that would help!!
Many thanks
