Longview, Huyton prefabs
« on: Friday 16 January 15 19:03 GMT (UK) »
Hi All
Would anyone have a photo of the above prefabs. They were surrounded by Hathersage Rd and Astley Rd, with Knowsley Longview Sec Mod. school close by. The last people to leave was in Sept 1959, then they were demolished. I am particularly interested in Hathersage Close.
Any assistance will be much appreciated.

hi

my step-father has been talking about prefabs he lived in, in a street called Lupin Way, Huyton (near Lordens Road) long since demolished I think.

when his father went to buy the house they were living in much later, they had no records that Lupin Way ever existed, it was only due to his father finding an old rent book that made them believe him that it had been a real address at one time, so he got his discount!

 ;D

I lived in 14 Hathersage Close until July 1969, when ours was demolished. I would be very interested in any photos too!

Hi
Re Longview Huyton prefabs,I have info. My wife lived there until they moved out September 1969.
I have a copy of photo of possibly the show house with elevation drawing of the estate. The prefabs are not numbered, but you could work out which is yours.
