Hello Spades, yes I believe Walter is one of John Boyle Hamiltons son's.

BDM NZ Death cert 1938/24556, aged 88Y
BDM NZ Marriage cert 1874/8395

This I don't have a printout of but I guess I could consider it. John Boyle Hamilton b about 1850 son of John Hamilton ( b 1817 d 1900 ) and Catherine Lowry Boyle (b 1846 d 1876 Newtonards).
