Is this my Amelia?
« on: Monday 19 January 15 15:21 GMT (UK) »
Good afternoon,

I am looking for a birth for Amelia Eustace Howell....I have found her in 1871 (with mum/sister Adela) 1881 (with mum) and in 1891 living with Gomer Morgan and she is down as his wife: (Amelia Morgan). Amelia did marry Gomer Morgan in 1892.

Here is my puzzle: I cannot find a birth for her anywhere!!!

I have found a birth for an Amelia Eustace Burns, born Poplar 1864 to parents John Evering Richard Burns & Isabella Burns.............Amelia's mum was called Arabella Maria Howell (nee Martin), but she was also known as Isabella Maria Howell (as written on her marriage cert to Robert Howell)...

Amelia's "Dad" Robert Howell died in 1864 and Arabella/Isabella is missing from the 1861 census (I have Robert with children in 1861).... could it be that Arabella and Robert Howell split in 1860s and Amelia is the daughter of Arabella and John Evering Burns? (I also found a death for John Evering Burns 1864)

Found the family living North West Fulham, 1902/1903 Electoral have him listed as John Richard Evering Byrnes...1911 census has his date of birth as 1868 London, so not the same man as I am looking for.

He  may have   did  a  little bit  of fibbing re  his  age  on  1911  so could be the  chap  you  are seeking  !
