Death of Margaret Mortimer of Llanwrtyd Wells
« on: Wednesday 21 January 15 01:53 GMT (UK) »
Interested in any information on the death of Margaret MORTIMER (nee Rees) wife of Harry Aylmer MORTIMER (Photographer) known as Henry.
She is born Margaret REES b1837 Garthbeibio,
Margaret obviously meets her husband in 1861 as she is found in the 1861C in Llansannan as Margared REES working as a servant.  He is in the same town.
Their children are born: Harry Aylmer (jnr) 1862 Llanfyllin, Margaret Jane 1865 Builth, Frederick William 1867, Flora Susannah 1869, Hugh Rees 1872, Percival Waliston 1873, Catherine Ada 1875,  Evan Whitrich 1876, and Mary Gertrude 1878. The latter 8 children are born at Llanwrtyd / Breconshire. Evan is noted as being born at "London House", Llanwrtyd.
Margaret had sister Jane who m Evan MORRIS farmer of Garthbeibio. Her parents were Hugh and Jane REES of Garthbeibio.
She is in the 1881C at 1 Irvona, Llanwrtyd, Breconshire with husband and 5 children
She is in the 1891C at 8 Mount St, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire with dau., son-in-law and grandchildren.

While Henry's death details (in 1906 in Builth, Dec Qtr) are known I cannot find Margaret's death in this locality or reference after 1891C.

Looking foward to any assistance please.
Regards
Warwick

Hi
Apologies for delay in responding - I'd overlooked that death but in fact it looks like it could be the only one. Thank you for your input.
I'll request the death certificate.

Cheers
