CARBERRY/EUSTON FAMILIES
« on: Wednesday 21 January 15 04:10 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I’m doing research into the above ancestor who we believe was born in DUNGANNON Co. Tyrone c 1789.  His fathers name was MICHAEL CARBERRY and we think that Nicholas’ mothers surname was EUSTON.  This information comes from a letter in 1895 here in NSW.

Nicholas was convicted in Co. Tyrone in 1812 and sent to Kilmainham Gaol until he was transported to NSW on the Three Bees in late 1813. Nicholas was Catholic and there is some family legend/thought that he may have been educated at a Franciscan Monastery in Donegal county.

He seems to have been educated though as he was a Clerk, Bookkeeper when he arrived here.  Listed as Labourer on his indent. I’m hoping that there maybe a way to find any relevant details on his family, parents, their burials, land records anything that may reveal something of Nicholas’s early life or time in Kilmainham Gaol.

Any help is very much appreciated.  Kindest regards Dianna Sydney Australia
