Hi all,
I’m trying to work out the Horseley/Horsleigh (+ other variants) line in my tree that I have encountered.
I have found on the IGI several marriages of Richard Horseley/Horsleigh from 1644 to 1670;
26-5-1644 Bexhall - Jane King buried 7-12-1668 Edwardstone (w/o Rich’d senr)
24-11-1664 Edwardstone - Alice Browne buried 12-10-1674 Edwardstone (w/o Richard)
9-10-1670 Edwardstone - Anne Sage
5-10-1675 Edwardstone - Judah Cranfield buried 10-11-1687 Edwardstone (w/o Richard)
Burial dates & details are taken from the Suffolk Burial Index on CD.
As you can see there is an overlap between the marriages to Jane & Alice.
Is it likely that we are talking about the same Richard or a s/o of Rich’d also named Richard?
No other marriages have turned up on the IGI or in FreeReg or FindMyPast.
Can anyone with a clearer mind work out the line to follow, please?
