A Tree  on Ancestry  appears to  have this family  ,    with  mother  as  Mysie, which  is what  the  second  name  looks  like

childrens  names  are  given  as  Stella Mae, Claude, Forrest  Dewar,  William  Alexander  ,  Erwin,    who  dies in 1904  Lyford  and Donald   2  others  are born after  1911

Perhaps the following records support the name of the wife being a variant of Mysa

If I have the right person/family,it looks like she might have been Eliza Jane Murphy in 1881(there is a variant of Bennet in this family also)

All I am asking for here is help reading the given names.

The reason people are asked about previous/later census' or where from etc. is to see if the writing is more legible on other records  ::)

These questions are the norm for helping people as info. can be found in different places  :P

The name Eliza(beth) can be sometimes be given as Bessie.I wonder if this has become Missie through mis transcription?
Perhaps also this is Sandy's("William Alexander" the same as her father's name) marriage?

Thanks to everyone for their help to date.  A mystery was created by deliberate lies being told on a marriage certificate and death certificate.  The reason for these lies has been found, thanks to Roger for a specific bit of info, and I will post details on the Canada page under my earlier topic "LAIRD family in Prince Edward Island".  I have asked to have this topic merged with that and will wait until learning whether this will be done.  Stay tuned, it's an interesting story.
