Hello
I have Robson ancestors born at Longhaugh Shields in Bellingham Northumberland England

My John Robson was born 1774 & must be the brother of Christopher Robson sons of William Robson.
John Robson married Ann Dixon who was born at Haltwhistle Nbl
John has a son named Christopher Robert they are living at Longhaugh Shields
About 25 years ago I went in search of Longhaugh Shield walking west from Bellingham village about 30 minute easy walk

I was amazed to find Christopher on the 1841 & 1851 census in South Shields.
Christopher Robson born 1781 ist wife is Elizabeth Hunter bn c1872
married 1797 at Elsdon Northumberland
Source Hugh Wallis
All children born at Longhaugh Shields parents are Chritopher Robson & Elizabeth Hunter
Border Riever name.  There are so many Robsons in Northumberland & South Shields is famouse for them.
I often pass St Hilda's Church in South Shields Market Place
Unable to locate a 2nd marriage for Christopher in South Shields

I am researching a Robson family and on the 1851 census I have Christopher Robson, aged 70 living in Westoe with his son William (38) & his daughter Sarah (34).  Whilst Christopher was born in Longhaugh, Bellingham, Northumberland both of his children were born in South Shields.  I am trying to trace Christopher's marriage which could be around 1812 or even earlier possibly in South Shields or may even be in Northumberland.  Any suggestions?
