Valuation Roll 1925/6
« on: Tuesday 27 January 15 12:00 GMT (UK) »
The valuation roll for Burgh of Montrose in some instances lists the name of the proprietor followed by "per XYZ" where XYZ could be eg a bank/agent/solicitor etc. What exactly does this "per XYZ" mean please?

My guess would be that the "per" body acts as the agent / contact point for the proprietor? They (the XYZ) are the people you would need to deal with in relation to the property.

Thanks Adrian for your thoughts. This is also how I see it. No contradictions so far.
