John Edward Hughes 1896-1918

I'm having great difficulty finding a John Edward Hughes given as born c 1896 and dying in July 1918.His parents are given on the Clwyd FHS Website are John and Mary Hughes of Cefn Mawr Denbighshire.This refers to his appearance on the Cefn Mawr War Memorial.I'm falling at the first fence in that I can't find him in 1901.

Presume you are referring to this entry which gives his birthplace as Wrexham

Thanks yes that is the right one.I've found him in 1901 as a visitor at the home of a David Roberts born 1870 in Rhosymedre in 1870 and his wife S***** born in Berkshire.
