army uniform dating of Henry Goode with Abbe Marie Houseman

hi, can anyone help me with dating this photo , and maybe does anyone know what uniform this would be ,,I have several pictures all with the same background and I know the others   are around the 1918-1920 ,if I can work the dates and hopefully the uniform then I can work out who this couple are -thank you in advance

Hi Bojangels2,

I believe the cap badge may be that of the DLI (Durham Light Infantry). The photo itself is definitely WW1 period.

WOW wasn't expecting such a quick reply , thank you, looked at the link you sent me and yes I think you may be correct , im sure he is from the "goode" side of my family so I will see if I can find any army papers for a GOODE  in the durham regiment ,thank you ,

DAVID JP ---can you tell me what to type in on ancestry to find the records as I don't know what his first name would be --im guessing his surname is GOODE

HI Bojangles, if you search Military and type in surname Goode with no Christian name, type Durham in the Keyword box you will get some hits for Goode in the Durham Light Infantry.  Good luck (or should I say Goode Luck  ;D )
