Help! re Roderick Mackenzie

Hello all
I'm looking for a Roderick Mackenzie fisherman from Lochbroom father of Alexander Mackenzie born abt 1840. On Alex's marriage cert it lists parents as  Roderick and Helen ms Mclean  I've searched for their marriage and but nothing. The only thing I have found is Helen Mclean in the 1841 census in Leckmelm with a 6mth old Alex and then in 1851 in Leckmelm aged 10 with grandparents but no Helen nor the elusive Roderick. Any pointers on where else search for them would be greatly apprieciated  (I've looked on SP, freecen and IGI)

Have you considered a marriage on 31/01/1840 of Roderick Mackenzie to Hellen Maclean in the parish of Lochbroom on Scotlands People??

Blimey!! Thankyou again  I've tried every variant spelling of rodrick and mckenzie and hellen  and got zilch  you must have the magic touch

I seached on Anc or F M P and the latter lets you ask for variants of names which is so useful

I think this is 1861 with Alexander  Living at Letter, Lochbroom

thats them!  just searched for that census record on sp and i got 1 result an Alex aged 3 something defo up  and its costing me a fortune  thankyou your brilliant

I search on Scotlands People for marriages etc , but find the census easier on a subscription site, although you can't look at the image on the sub sites and there are so many mistranscriptions.

On SP for marriages etc I often search using names starting with and just put in the first few letters as so many names are mispelt.

Do you want any other census records that I can find for Roderick and Helen?  Need to go shopping but can look later.

Edit - On SP it can help to search including the parish - in this case Lochbroom
