Edward Bownes, eckington marriage c1730
« on: Monday 02 February 15 22:23 GMT (UK) »
A long shot, but has anyone come across a marriage record for Edward Bownes of Eckington, Derbyshire, in about 1730 ? He didn't get married in this parish and I don't know the name of his wife. His only child, George, was baptised in 1732. Edward died in the same year aged 26. He is my direct ancestor and I've been looking for this information for several years. Likely parishes would be in South Yorks and North East Derbyshire, from Chesterfield to Sheffield, although could have been anywhere ! Always happy to share information about Bownes ancestors. David Bownes
