Parish Records - Charles Stone - Lived in Hockley, Armagh 1927
« on: Friday 06 February 15 22:25 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

Any tips for online resources for looking at parish records from Hockley, Armagh in the 1920s? My greatgrandfather lived there in 1927.  Interested in his details.  He may also have spent time in Belfast.  He was married twice - first wife died sometime earlier than 1927 (1919?1920?).

I'm new to this, so any help is appreciated!  Thanks :)

You don’t say what denomination you are interested in. However whatever denomination, records for the 1920s or later are likely to still be held by the local church.

I note a marriage between Charles Stone and Isabella Russell registered in Armagh 8th April 1925. You can view that cert on the GRONI website for £2.

Any chance that your grandfather is Charles Bell Stone?

If not, have you found him in 1911 census?

I may have more details but will not post until you can confirm which Charles Stone you are searching for.
