Natural or lawful birth record
« on: Saturday 07 February 15 23:01 GMT (UK) »
I've found a female birth entry saying natural daughter of the father, no
mother mentioned. Other births on same document say lawful daughter,
is there a difference? Is the natural one illegitimate?

Natural children are normally illegitimate if father is named then it is likely the father has been brought before the parish or a marriage later followed.  Is this an OPR entry?

Lawful children are those with married parents whose status is recognised in law.

      Thanks fifer 1947

It was an OPR record, the parents married 2 years after the birth.
