Baptism and marriage of Lancelot Watkins, Neath
« on: Sunday 08 February 15 14:54 GMT (UK) »
Hello

Yesterday I visited the graveyard of St Thomas Church Neath.

I found a gravestone belonging to Lancelot Watkins, according to the inscription, he was born in 1733 and died in 1799. His wife was Margaret and they had several sons whom all died relatively young, Philip, David and Matthew.

It is possible that Lancelot was the son of Lancelot Watkins and Catherine, whom died in 1756 and 1761 respectively.

I was wondering if someone could help me locate a baptism for Lancelot and a marriage for him.

The baptisms do not show anything, but the bishops transcripts are apparently more substantial.

my thanks in the matter
