RootsIreland has a free search. I can't find a marriage for a Fanny/Frances or a Bridget with father Simon so IF this is the correct family perhaps Bridget also went to England and you could find something through her.

There is a marriage for a Simon and MaryAnne in Dublin in 1850 but you have to have a sub to see it, it does not appear to be Comber.

Can't find anything else on Irish Genealogy, birth death or marriage.

Maybe more Dublin Church records will become available sometime.

Catholic records often have the name in Latin but I'm not sure Simon would change in that case.

Area - DUBLIN (RC) , Parish/Church/Congregation - SS. MICHAEL & JOHN
Baptism of FANNY KEOGH November 1850
Frances married an Oliver Biggs 28 May 1876 - St James the Great, Bethnal Green , London [/color]

Do you have the family on any census records as I did notice there are other children baptised with (A) father Simon & (A) mother Mary Ann so wondered if their abode differed as much as the spelling of Maryann's maiden name  ???

3 others with same name parents were Simon Peter (1859), Mary Anne (1863) & James Joseph (1866) with mother's maiden name Comer (Simon & James) & Connor (Mary Anne)???

No, really sorry Annie unfortunately I don't...
I have a feeling it was probably Connor/Conner as they are typical Irish surnames.
Comer, I don't know just have a feeling it wasn't that...

Well as one of the daughters was called Mary Anne, that gives us more proof that the mum's name was really Mary Anne.

But all 3 of them...............Simon Peter (1859), Mary Anne (1863) & James Joseph (1866) were born St. Nicholas Parish....................not the same parish as Frances & Bridget i.e. you still have NO proof of anything yet which is why I wondered about them on a census......TOGETHER  ???

Annie

P.S. All have a mother Maryann so still in limbo  ???

As I said, I have no census record of them together...I'm not very good at Irish Census lookups...I never usually have any luck with them. Can you try looking for one?

Can you suggest anything else...maybe later census to see where Mary Ann and Simon are?
They might be living with one of the children?  ???
Just giving some ideas...

Well if they all have Mary Ann as the mum and I take it Simon is the dad, isn't that a bit of a coincidence?

Yes........................Coincidence is exactly what it is without further proof  ??? ;D

Just like the Simon I found in England in the same area where Frances was married/living  ???

Yes, I see you're point Annie...
Hmm, it's very difficult I must say!

I know that Frances came over to London in the 1870's when she was a teen/young adult from Dublin to be a servant. I don't think her parents came over with her...
Although I have found this death record for Simon Keough on Ancestry.com -

Name:  Simon Keough
Birth:  abt 1823
Death:  Jul 1887  - Shoreditch, London
