....to my grandson Daniel Chalton, son of Samuel Chalton, the cottage & land in Marston & Wootton lately purchased of William Gardner & William Betts, now in occupation of Jeremy Forfeit
....to my daughter Elizabeth Hartwell the sum of £20
....to my grand-daughters Mary Chalton & Sarah Chalton the sum of £5 apiece
....All those cottages in Maulden now in occupation of Robert Woolford, Samuel Day & William Everet & all land in occupation of Charles Betts & William Betts, I give to my executors to dispose & make up legacies of £200 apiece, if need requires, which my grandchildren is to have -- James Chalton, Samuel Chalton, Benjamin Chalton, & Elizabeth Chalton -- when they become age 21 given by their father
