Haig Maternity Home/Hospital
« on: Sunday 15 February 15 13:39 GMT (UK) »

I am looking at a branch of my family through my Aunt by marriage, as I believe her sister was at one time the matron of the above Home/hospital, in Hawick.
Her name Mary Ramage, born 1896 at Inveresk with Musselburgh, one of 5 daughters of George Ramage and Ann Holt.

Any information would be most welcome, such as the time she spent at the hospital and where she lived during the period, and when she retired and or died.

regards

Thanks all, I only have FindMyPast, but have access to ancestry at the local library, so will have to get up there on a regular basis to find out more.
I would image her working life finished around 50s and 60s.

regards
JB
