Please help me find him - John HATTIE (Heatlie) - going quietly mad.

Hi all
I am looking for the following John Hattie (Heatlie) in any later census transcription, below is the 1861 Scotland census and the only one I can find him on:

Mary Waugh Head 62 born 1799 Jedburgh Roxburgh
Agnes Waugh Dau  34 born 1827 Jedburgh Rox
Mary Turnbull (Waugh) Dau 20 born 1841 Crailing Rox
John Hattie Grandson 7 born 1854 Roxburgh

John Hattie/Heatlie was the illegitimate son of Agnes Waugh and William Heatlie, see attached birth, as you can probably see Agnes is down as Agnes Oliver not Waugh but I don't know why. In 1851 she was down as Oliver, 1861 Waugh, 1871 Oliver and the 1881, 91 and 1901 census as Waugh which was also on her death certificate in 1902, she never married so I have know idea where Oliver came from. Anyway like I said I am looking for her son John Hattie but after 1861 he disappears. I have looked for a death under John Oliver, Waugh and Heatlie but found nothing. If I could trace him I can possibly find more info on his father William Heatlie and maybe why his mother kept swapping surnames.

John, Illigitimate son of William Hately and Agnes Oliver was born at Fairnington on the 12 day of January 1854 and was baptised by the Rev Lee Minister of Roxburgh.

Hi all and thanks for replying.
Her mother Mary Waugh was unmarried, and died single so chance of Oliver there unfortunately. I have looked on the original transcription for the 1861 census and she is unmarried on there, Agnes is down as illegitimate on her death certificate, no father added, never married. I will have a look at the 1891 Durham census as I hadn't seen that transcription, its a possibility. Will check out Loobys possibility as well. Will post on here if I have any look.

So Oliver could have been her fathers surname. 

Having trouble finding the children from the Durham census but they were born in different places.

Thomas - Berwick
Catherine - Scotland
John - Scotland
Jane - Northumberland
Margaret - Usworth Durham

Annie the mother born E Lathian (Lothian?) Scotland

It could be that the reputed father of Agnes was a Mr. Oliver 
Like her own son John is known by his father's name , Agnes may  have been known by hers as well as by her mother's name of Waugh.

Yeah I did think it could of been her real fathers name, is it normal to swap names like that every so often, it makes it very confusing. John Heatlie probably did the same which is why I cant locate him. Im going to have a look at the children on the Durham census, them being born in Scotland makes it a lot easier to find than English births. Thanks for your help everybody, much appreciated.
