Hi Hallmark:)
Thanks for your Post
John Clendinnen(rev) My ggggrandfather, Yes we Know was born circa 1770 in Co Down, due to census records etc, but his birth has NOT yet been found...a Lot of Heresay around re who his parents are and dna have proved otherwise, Re this William Glendinen info, ..Clendinnen Participants here in Aus with dna have shown no connection to this William Glendinnen of quarterland...A lot of misinformation out there on family trees on ancestry which people tend to copy, without proof, kinda irritating to other researchers..
And thanks for looking we have the rest of the info u posted...But another son of William Clendinnen was Samuel Alfred Clendinnen...he came to Australia(my ggrandfather)
Im just trying to see if theres any way we can get hold of this actual marriage of John Clendinnen to Mary charlotte Ellis...find it rather strange a Methodist researcher gave a clendinnen researcher the date of their marriage but had NO actual proof or documentation
Thanks for your Help too
Cheers
cathy:)
