Continuation of what happened to Edwin Pitcher.  He went to Australia in 1852 landing at Port Phillip Bay Sidney. That same year his Uncle Orlando Vaisey was trying to contact him.  In 1884 he was on the SS Buninyong Sidney. After that a dead end.

I have been researching this Orlando Vaisey who came over from England.

Orlando Vaisey born 1809 (c) Kingswood, married Harriet Smith in 1839 St Nicholas Gloucestershire, and this is were the confusion comes in. On ancestry there are a number of marriages between Orlando and Harriet in 1839.

1. Orlando Vaisey
Birth about 1810
Marriage 26 Feb 1839
Age 29
Father William Vaisey
Spouse Harriet Smith
Age 28
Spouses father  William Smith
Marriage
Parish Gloucester, St Nicholas Gloucestershire
------------------------------------------------
2. As above but giving film number 855636 855637 855638
----------------------------------------------------------
3. As above but a different marriage date 10 February 1839
------------------------------------------------------------
4. As Above but name spelt differently, Arlando Varney.  Also his father is now Edward, Married as earlier on the 26 February 1839. Harriet's father is still William.

At first thought I had found the connection to Edwin, remember Orlando was his Uncle, Edwin's mother was called Sarah Smith hoping they may be sisters.  Sarah's parents were called William and Mary and I did find a baptism for Harriett in 1810 with parents of that name.
But after reading the local Australian paper account of her death in 1881 her parents were called Thomas and Sabrina.

Wandering if someone with a fresh pair of eyes may pick up something I have overlooked, Cannot be many Orland Vaisey's born in Gloucestershire and moving to Australia.

Any help would be appreciated.
