Thank you for looking. The Walter Colquhoun you found will probably be related. I think all the Cardross Colquhouns are connected and originally came from the Old Kilpatrick area. When I next come "home" I'll visit the old Cardross Church and have a look. Thank you again.

I can't be certain that they're buried in Cardross. The only information I'm going on is that they all died in Cardross and I know my late mother often said as we drove by the old Cardross church that she would like to go in to try to find her grandparents grave. It's possible though that she wasn't certain they were buried there either. Thanks to you rosie17 I now know that my Grandparents Robert Colquhoun and Jane Hambley are buried in Helensburgh although they died in the parish of Luss. The mystery continues!

Thank you and your husband so much rosie17 - yes that's my ancestors. James Colquhoun was my Great Grandfather. They had three children who died young Robert 1875-82, Jane 1886 who died at birth and James 1873-92. My Great Granny Agnes Henderson Scott died 1891 and her husband James Colquhoun died 1910. I hope to visit Cardross some time this year so I'll try to find the headstones.

Thank you again.

Rosie17 thank you for offering to take a photo. Are the stones at each side for James Colquhoun's children? There could be a few Colquhouns buried there and they're probably all related. I think I still have some 2nd cousins living in Cardross.
