Thank you for all your help. If he married Elizabeth WHITWORTH in 1885, what happened to her?

 She is not with Edward on the 1891 cnesus. Plus I have not been able to trace Edward DEVEY after 1891.

The marriage to Elizabeth WHITWORTH is likely to be correct as one of the witnesses appears to be his sister Marian WILSON nee DEVEY who later I think died in Mexico in 1892.

Edward is in Everton in the 1911 census with Martha ..Not seeing a death for Elizabeth Whitworth so far ..maybe they divorced

Thank you everyone helping myself sort out Edward DEVEY and his three marriages.

I assume that his four children Julia b.1876, Marian b.1878, Jane b. 1880 and Thomas Edward b.1882 are from his first marriage with Annie DICKSON. I will start to try to trace them.
