Denny (Dennis) Hill 1923 Puzzle Jug
« on: Thursday 19 February 15 13:50 GMT (UK) »
I have a Puzzle Jug which has an inscription of "From Grandad to Denny Hill on his birthday 1923" and I was hoping to find his family. On the bottom of the jug it says Barnstable.  It's a longshot but before I sell it on ebay, I just wondered if anyone might know the family, to give them first chance.

Could Barnstaple just be where the jug was manufactured?

Denny could have been born anytime before 1923 and if he was Dennis - there are lots of Dennis Hill births

Thanks for taking a look, I saw how many Hill births there were and decided that it would be impossible to locate the family and see if they were interested.  Regards Jenny

A bit like one of theses puzzle jugs perhaps?

Yes thats right but mine is more decorative with a full inscription of Mother Earth and a personal inscription to Denny Hill....I think that it is from the Brannon Pottery in Barnstaple but as I said, it's going to be impossible to locate the family, such a shame as im sure that they would like it :)
