Found a birth for Mary Barker

"England, Norfolk Archdeacon's Transcripts, 1600-1812," images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-12986-10161-24?cc=1824688&wc=M62T-JNP:160239801,161000501,160243102,160239804 : accessed 24 February 2015), Norfolk > Swaffham > 1725-1812 > Baptisms, Marriages, Burials > image 96 of 247; Record Office, Central Library, Norwich.

Looked on the Swaffham Archdeacon's transcripts for a birth Sarah Barker 1778-1800 nothing found that fits with parents Richard and Mary.  No children found for this 3rd marriage, 1819-1840

Not sure about John's death age 55 -1827 (Yokel reply #3) this would put his birth at c1772. We know his birth to be 1785.

No fruit for today's search.

Found a Sarah Hardy (head) 1851 census - 1810,252,21 b1791 Plumstead but cannot find a birth to check her parents as Richard and Mary Barker

We have Edward and Mary Barker, also Richard and Mary Barker all Swaffham Norfolk.
I have looked at the Mary b1781 (Edward and Mary) it does not fit with birth /death dates for Mary (Richard and Mary) d1815 age 32, b1783 (1873+32=1815)

I cannot find a Sarah with parents Richard and Mary.  But there is a Sarah b1773 with parents Edward and Mary.

So I wonder if John's 3rd marriage to Sarah is Mary's cousin.  Richard and Edward Barker are bothers?

Hi Mike.

All Swaffham
Richard Barker married Mary Dunnant 28 May 1768
Their Daughter Mary Barker baptised 17 Jan 1783
Richard Barkers wife Mary (Dunnant) buried 5 Nov 1786
Richard Barker married Sarah Smith 20 Nov 1789
John Hardy married Mary Barker 28 May 1811
Mary Hardy (Barker) buried 22 Feb 1815
Richard Barker buried 29 June 1818
John Hardy (Widower) married Sarah Barker (Widow) 10 Jan 1819

So it looks like John could have married his Father in Laws widow :-\

There is a will for Richard Barker which mentions his wife Sarah and his grand children Mary and Sarah Hardy (both children of John and Mary Hardy (nee Barker)

Thanks Nigel,  Yes that looks elegant! John marrying his Father-in-law's widow. It rules out any connection with the other family thread Edward Barker.

I have found the second child for John and Mary you allude to - May Hardy  b19 April, 1812,  have the image.

Cannot find any children attributed  John's 3rd Marriage.  Age at this time?

For the record, would like to find John and Sarah deaths

Complicated this one!!  Never sorted without your help.

Mike.
