Hi , found this and thought I would reply. My maiden name is Simpson. I was brought up on Altens Farm, Nigg. The family left the farm about 15 years ago when it was taken over by industry.

Hi Altens, Please make a couple of short posts so that you can receive my Personal message. Perhaps one could be a line or so about the farm as it was and another could be a line about its development after being sold. Hoping you are related to Ina.

In the 60's - mid 70's Altens was a dairy farm run by my grandfather George Simpson and the my father William.  We then changed to beef farming.

Was one of your close relatives a WW2 casualty in Burma?
I have George and William on my tree. Ina, George's wife was my grandfather's sister.
Hope you are now able to receive my PM if not it should come through with your 3rd posting. I will try to re send it.
