Watkinson, 1700s
« on: Saturday 28 February 15 11:34 GMT (UK) »
Going back to another of my brick walls.

My ancestor, Mary Watkinson, bapt 1754 in Ashby Folville, parents John and Rebecca. It would be nice to find out something more about John and Rebecca if possible, and about Mary's siblings. I have details of Mary's life story and her tombstone has been preserved in the grounds of St Martins's (one of the few so I've been lucky there!)

I've no dates for any aspects of birth, marriage, death, for John and Rebecca and missing lots of info on their other children.

Here are Mary's siblings:

1. John 1756 Ashby Folville; m Ann where and when? (presumably Ann Green as children William (1785) and Elizabeth/Bet (1787/8) had Green as middle name)
2. Ann 1760 bapt Leic St Martin, married Thomas Morlidge 1782

---(all subsequent siblings bapt at Leic St Martin)----

3. William 1762 --      no further info
4. Thomas 1764           ditto
5. Thomas 1766           ditto   (though it's fair to assume both these Thomases died v young)
6. Thomas 1767           ditto
7. Joseph 1770            ditto
8. George 1772    m Mary Dorrill in Coventry in 1793, died 1851 in Islington --- I have his will
9. Rebecca 1775        no further info
10.Joseph 1777            ditto
11.Nathaniel 1777         ditto

Can anyone fill any gaps for me please?

Thank you!
