« on: Tuesday 03 March 15 19:12 GMT (UK) »
Hi was wondering if someone could tell me how I would find out if my Ferguson  family have headstones on their gravesite . They are all buried in the Dumbarton cemetery in Dumbarton. I have been looking for  quite sometime and not getting any where .Thanks

I don't know if Dumbarton Library would have a book on Burials worth a try

Thanks Skoosh and Rosie 17 I have checked the site you mentioned Skoosh but Dumbarton Cemetery is not on their list. I could or will write the Dumbarton library and see if they can help. I did write another site someone suggested, as a matter of  fact several times and got no reply.

hi Missy
i have looked on FindAGrave.com for you.... sadly the Dumbarton cemetery has not been fully recorded yet.
i am with the above site as a volunteer grave photographer and i am due going to the cemetery to find and photograph several headstones for other clients... i would be happy to look for yours while i am there.
all i need is the full name and dates of birth and death

Hi ,if you have a date of death and a name ,phone the crematorium department at West Dumbartonshire council ~ I think you can google the number . If they don't have it then the guys who work at the cemetary will help they are a great bunch , the cemetary building have an old fashion card index . My great aunt May (Mary ) married a William Ferguson in the 1930/40s . Their first baby died in the 1940s at a week old and is buried with my great grandfather at Dumbarton Cemetary ,thats if we are talking about the same Fergusons .
