Death of Bell Nicholson, Ceres
« on: Tuesday 03 March 15 20:01 GMT (UK) »
My GGgrandmother was Isabella Nicholson (nee Forbes)
She was born in 1777 at Nether Strathkinness, Fife
In 1803 she married Thomas Nicholson who died 1830
In the 1851 Census at the age of 74, she was staying with her Son Thomas
at Back Lane, Ceres.
However she does not appear in any later Census and its likely she was dead by 1861.
My problem is that I cannot find a death registration for her and no sign of a gravestone.
Any help appreciated

Hi TamPepper

Given you have got back so far to date, I am sure that you know that records before 1855 will be from the Old Parish Registers (OPRs). Only about a third of events overall were recorded/survive from this period. If she died before 1855, there may not be any available records to confirm this for her unfortunately  :-\
