Sarah Hughes - burial Bray 1784 or 1787 - COMPLETED
« on: Wednesday 04 March 15 21:18 GMT (UK) »
I have the Berkshire FHS burials CD and have found two burials 1784 & 1787 both in the name of Sarah Hughes at Bray but I need to work out if one of them was for the wife of a Joseph Hughes

My theory is that Joseph remarried to an Elizabeth Palmer at Bray in 1788 but need to confirm his first wife Elizabeth Ranseum had passed before then.

If anyone has sight of the register images or a better detailed transcription that would be great.

They are both the wife of a Joseph!

Any idea where they lived within the parish?

"They are both the wife of a Joseph!"  ::)

Nell, it is Fifield based on the baptism entry for their son also named Joseph in 1783

thanks, Pete

Thanks Nell  8)  Was guessing it would be the 1784 one as Elizabeth their second and last child baptised in Feb.  Looks like 1787 it is then, bit tight for 1788 remarrying but they didn't seem to hang about in ye olde days  :-\
