Cornelius Edward GALLAGHER and family?

Hi
I am trying to trace Cornelius Edward GALLAGHER born 1858 in Ireland. Query he came to North Yorkshire, England and query he married. Other information is that he was a Customs Officer. Did this mean that he would move around England a lot?

I am trying to trace him and to see if he had any children as unconfirmed information claims that he died young.

 Am I correct that there is a big gap between the first child Mary Agnes GALLAGHER b.1886 and the next two children - Philip Augustine GALLAGHER  b.1897 and Annie Marie GALLAGHER b.1900.
Any suggestion to maybe why and if there are any other children - how will I go about looking for them?
Finally does anyone know when Cornelius GALLAGHER's wife Annie Elizabeth died?

I am also looking for information on Cornelius Edward Gallagher, who is my great grandfather. My father is named after him. My grandmother was Mary Agnes Gallagher. I am trying find out where Cornelius was born and who his parents were.

Mary Agnes, who was known as Mamie, had one child with Austin Griffith, Austina.  Austin died and she remarried John Henry Ricketts, having two children, Cornelius Michael (known as Michael Patrick), myself Sarah Louise, and sisters Michele Anne and Dominique Maria.

Please let me know if you find out anything more about Cornelius.  May I ask why you are looking? Are we related?

Thank you for your post. Welcome to Rootschat.

 I am sorry to say that I do not have any information on Cornelius Edward GALLAGHER except that he is born about 1858 in Ireland. From the 1881 England census he gives his birth place as Limerick, Ireland.

I was looking for Cornelius because of his wife Annie Elizabeth SIMPSON born 1860. Annie is part of my DEVEY tree that I am trying to trace. I think that Annie is my 2nd cousin twice removed. If so then Mary Agnes ( Mamie) is my 3rd cousin once removed.
