Marriage of William Albone
« on: Friday 06 March 15 21:55 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I am trying to find the wedding of William ALBONE and Sarah Devereux c1820. Their children were all baptised in Arlesley from 1822 to1830.

Many thanks

David ;)

Arlesey marriages for that period are on the IGI. No sign of the one you're looking for. What else do you know about him? There were Devereux's at Campton, whose post 1812 marriages aren't on the IGI. IGI member submissions show baptisms up to 1835, but you'd need to check the PR to verify these. Are you sure about the Albone baptisms in Arlesey as they don't appear on the extracted IGI?

I can't find the Albone baptisms to which you refer in Arlesey on the extracted IGI. But there are a number between 1822 and 1835 on the member submitted part of the IGI, on which I never rely. The interesting part comes when you look a little bit carefully at William, Sarah, John, James and Frederick  Albone and find there are exactly the same names and dates for another group with the surname Devereux. And there's an extracted marriage for William Devrix and Sarah Eltham on 19 Oct 1819 at Arlesey.

I think the member submitted Albone baptisms on the IGI could be a work of fiction, and you've swallowed it.
