Old Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire
« on: Sunday 08 March 15 11:12 GMT (UK) »
Help needed please, i have tracked down my gg grandfather (1841 census) as living in Market Street, St. Mary, Haverfordwest, along with 17 others.  I am assuming this address is a lodging house\public house\workhouse?  Would love to hear if anyone has information on this address.  Many thanks in advance.

Based on other posts - was your ancestor was James Harries???

If so in 1841 he was living with and working for William Williams Draper and Grocer in Market St with quite a number of other grocer/drapers, apprentices and servants who all presumably helped in the business.  It sounds like a large shop with living accommodation for staff
