Priaulx birth of Countess Ida METAXA

Pall Mall Gazette says she was born 23 July 1879 Guernsey. Another source says Germany.

Her full name is  Maud Ida Selina Constance METAXA. She is dau of Count Richard METAXA.

Please, can anyone confirm or disprove the Guernsey reference ?
