goodaye folks>>>
I have been researching the life of Solomon Whitchurch who from a tobacco worker and insurance worker in Bristol GLS ventures to Australia where he becomes a Baptist Minister. To date I have his birth cert, baptism, complete censuses, electoral roll entries, death cert, probate, and a few of his passenger records travelling to and from the UK.. However , >>>>>>>>>>
I am missing a passenger record him
travelling to the UK before 8/9 Nov 1930.......
The next problem I am facing is where in heck did he do his Seminary Training for the Baptist church?
??
So if anyone knows a little more than I on a] is there a Baptist Training school in Bristol that would have been going from say 1900 to the immigration of Solomon in 1912 to Australia......
OR
Is there is Baptist Ministry Training facility in Melbourne Victoria Australia.....
or did the Baptists just give the incoming rectors or priests a Bible and a church and leave the rest up to them to do?
[ which I find unlikely.......] Note I did find one electoral roll where he was living with a rector in Victoria who may have been his guidance.....
So I guess what I need is links to a] learn more about the in depth training of Baptists and b] some resolve on that infernal passenger record....
To add to the dilema someone has come forward who is a grandchild of Solomons sib George who actually met this chap..... so I would like to complete a biography as that person only met Solomon when they were knee high to a grasshopper.... cheers folks
