Suton division, Wymondham
« on: Tuesday 10 March 15 15:39 GMT (UK) »
Have been looking at baptism records for Wymondham and have come across the entry "Suton division" on several.

Does anyone know what this means?

Many thanks.

Hi catfordcrooner. Thanks for that.

The baptism records were all for St Mary and St Thomas Becket, so do you know if that means the families were not actual members of that congregation?

Thanks for that. I will enjoy looking at the write ups for the Norfolk churches that feature on my Tree.

Thanks Yokel, how interesting. I see Suton division was the smallest.

The connection to St Albans Abbey was a surprise as that is near here. You learn something everyday with this hobby of ours.
